Center For Growing Families

"As we grow and understand ourselves, we can offer a foundation of emotional wellbeing and security that enables our children to thrive."
—Daniel Siegel

For most people, parenting is both profoundly rewarding and taxing. Just as flight attendants tell parents to put on their own oxygen masks before assisting their children, we encourage parents to take care of their own emotional well-being in order to help their children develop.

There are many stages of parenting. Whether you are bringing your first child or subsequent children into your life, deciding when your family is complete, or sending your first or last to kindergarten or college, we understand that your world is changing. A parent’s identity continues to shift over the years, which can be confusing and, at times, overwhelming. And difficult experiences in one’s own childhood may bubble up, making the parenting process even more challenging.

We offer a confidential, nonjudgmental space where you can step out of your daily life and sort through your feelings with the guidance of a therapist who understands that there is no one right way to raise a family.
